Commercial Bank and Trust Company, want to provide special items or events that provide endless hours of entertainment and meaningful contact that the facility might not be able to provide in its already stretched budget,” said Judy Holcomb, Vice President and Assistant Program Director of Senior Crimestoppers. Senior Crimestoppers is funded through CRA Partners powered by the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation.
Commercial Bank and Trust Company is once again helping Northbrooke Health Care Center and Laurelwood Health Care Center fulfill the wishes of their residents. The “Wish Comes True” checks, presented on June 14, benefit local seniors as a result of Commercial Bank and Trust’s participation with CRA Partners, powered by the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation. Local law enforcement officers Madison County Sheriff John Mehr attended the presentation, along with Chief Julian Wiser and Deputy Chief Barry Michael of the Jackson Police Department.
“Senior Crimestoppers is a way for an administrator to enhance the lives of the residents they serve by providing an additional layer of safety and security. In addition to the crime prevention program, the Foundation and their sponsoring bank, Commercial Bank and Trust Company, want to provide special items or events that provide endless hours of entertainment and meaningful contact that the facility might not be able to provide in its already stretched budget,” said Judy Holcomb, Vice President and Assistant Program Director of Senior Crimestoppers.
This year, the facilities are staying with an entertainment theme in how they choose to spend their funds. Northbrooke is purchasing a new television for the dining room, according to administrator Blake Carrington. Laurelwood’s administrator Jan Pruitt said their facility plans to purchase a movie screen and projector for the residents to enjoy movies outside in the courtyard in the evenings and in the dayroom during the day or during cooler weather. This will greatly help with evening activities and provide a calming atmosphere for residents to enjoy at both facilities.
