“At Esquire Bank, we value the opportunity to be an integral part of the communities we serve,” said Andrew C. Sagliocca, the president and chief executive officer of Esquire Bank. “Any crime against seniors is particularly devastating.”

Esquire Bank, which has a branch in Downtown Brooklyn, has announced making a Community Development grant made to the CRA Partners, powered by the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation.  This grant will provide sponsorship for the nationally known Senior Crimestoppers Program at Sea Crest Health Care Center.

This unique sponsorship will fully fund successful ongoing crime-prevention services at this senior care facility at no cost to residents, taxpayers or the community.

“At Esquire Bank, we value the opportunity to be an integral part of the communities we serve,” said Andrew C. Sagliocca, the president and chief executive officer of Esquire Bank. “Any crime against seniors is particularly devastating.”

Esquire Bank provides specialized banking services to communities in Metro New York and Long Island, serving small and mid-size businesses, professionals and consumers. Esquire Bank also supports local, community-based and national organizations.

Senior Crimestoppers is a multifaceted crime-prevention and quality-of-life program administered by the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation, a nonprofit organization that has greatly reduced incidents of crime in nursing homes and senior-housing communities in 47 states throughout the country.

Benefits of the program include:
• Personal lock boxes for use by residents and/or family members
• Cash rewards for anonymous information about crime incidents
• A 24/7 call-center tips hotline
• Clearly marked plaques and signs throughout the facilities indicating to all that crime will not be tolerated
• Ongoing education training reinforcing a zero tolerance for crime in and around the area

“Ensuring the safety and welfare of our residents and visitors are our highest priorities,” said Natalie Yakovleva, Administrator Sea Crest Health Care Center, a certified care unit with 305 beds. “We extend a heartfelt thank you to Esquire Bank for demonstrating such outstanding leadership and initiative to allow us to implement this program.”
